Johannes Gutenberg’s invention of the printing press have played a big role in the advancement of human civilization up until now. One of the most visible impacts of it is in the rapid advancement of mass media technology. Further, the emergence of cinema and glass screens which could project images and sounds pushed public mass dissemination even further.
In the context of the development of communication technology, television really fascinates us. These engineered imaginary products then alter our perception towards realities. Knowledge which previously only accessible to religious leaders, aristocrats and the borguise class, is now with public’s reach. Urban and rural no longer form dichotomical border. Gutenberg opened the path and opportunity for everyone to learn.
Since 2000, internet technology has proliferated.
The emergence of internet social media platforms threatens the existence of conventional mass media.

has every right to be righteous. No scientifically proven verification and falsification processes are needed any longer. Knowledge does indeed belong to everyone. Fuck the truth. “I update my status, therefore I am.” From all these confusions, information distortion has become our society’s new normal.
